The Town of Southborough has published a Town Report since 1860. Reports contain information about town officials and appointments, and provide updates on projects undertaken by each town department and committee. Militia Lists provide the names of persons enrolled in the town militia, and of those who were liable to be enrolled. Some lists include ages, occupations, and other remarks in addition to names.

These infantry militia rolls list officers and privates that served under the command of Captain Francis Fay, Captain Peter Brewer, Captain Humphrey Wheeler, Captain Webster Johnson, and Captain Artemas Ward. The rolls note whether or not each soldier had attained the age of 21 years, were in or out of uniform, and what weapons and equipment they were provided.
