Military Lists, 1820 - 1827
Scope and Contents
These infantry militia rolls list officers and privates that served under the command of Captain Francis Fay, Captain Peter Brewer, Captain Humphrey Wheeler, Captain Webster Johnson, and Captain Artemas Ward. The rolls note whether or not each soldier had attained the age of 21 years, were in or out of uniform, and what weapons and equipment they were provided.

Preservation Actions
This volume underwent conservation treatment in October 2009 at Brown’s River Records Preservation Services in Essex, Vermont (now Kofile Inc.).
Treatment Summary:
Book dismantled and binding materials removed. Gross tears mended with Japanese tissue or Crompton heat set tissue. Paper deacidified using magnesium oxide. Sheets encapsulated in archival grade polyester envelopes. Envelopes sewn and bound in acid-free materials.
