Militia rolls, lists of volunteers, certificates of mustering officers, lists of recruits who had been accepted by the examining surgeon, correspondence, and certificates from the adjutant-general's office pertaining to men from Southborough who enlisted in the Civil War.

Preservation Actions
This volume underwent conservation treatment in 2020 at Kofile Inc.
Treatment Summary:
Record removed from binding. Presence of tape, staples and or fasteners were removed. Pages surface cleaned. Tears mended with Japanese tissue or filmoplast heat set tissue. Pages deacidified by application of magnesium oxide. Sheets encapsulated in archival grade PET polyester envelopes. Volume bound in quality record binder.
