Road Petitions and Town Lines, 1723 - 1930
Scope and Contents
Parts 1 and 2 of this volume include records and petitions relating to the laying-out of new roads, widening of roads, road boundaries, and locations of town lines in Southborough from 1723-1930. They also include information on the locations of existing town roads, correspondence relating to the rebuilding of Cordaville, safety inspections conducted on town roads, and reports of the Selectmen and Road Commission relating to town ways. The spines of the volumes incorrectly identify the date range as 1723-1849.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
This volume underwent conservation treatment in November 2008 at Brown’s River Records Preservation Services in Essex, Vermont (now Kofile Inc.).
Treatment Summary:
Book dismantled and binding materials removed. Gross tears mended with Japanese tissue or Crompton heat set tissue. Paper deacidified using magnesium oxide. Sheets encapsulated in archival grade polyester envelopes. Envelopes bound in two record binders.
