This series includes affidavits and corrections made to birth, marriage and death certificates, in addition to correspondence, depositions, church record extracts, and other documentary sources relating to the information being amended.

Restrictions
While the vast majority of records in this collection are open for research, some birth and marriage, and adoption records are restricted (Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 46, § 2A). Vital records must be screened by staff to prevent the inappropriate disclosure of confidential information. Please contact the Clerk’s Office for more information.
Conditions Governing Access
