Scope and Contents
Folder contains applications made by milk and dairy vendors conducting business in Southborough. The applications include the name of the dairy farm or vendor, along with their place of business, and telephone number. Statistics are provided for each business, including the number of wagons they used in delivering milk, number of cows kept, amount of milk produced, and the average number of quarts of raw milk, pasteurized milk, certified milk, skimmed milk, cream, and buttermilk sold daily in Southborough. The names and addresses of all milkers, drivers, and employees handling the milk are also included, along with the names of any farms or milk suppliers vendors may have purchased from if not selling their own products exclusively. These records are arranged chronologically.
